‘SOMEBODY SCREAMING SOMEWHERE’
BY OSCAR AITCHINSON
Somebody’s screaming somewhere is a gory, sexually charged romance / horror / thriller / mystery about a pair of mismatched police officers finding a connecFon based on their mutual love and aHracFon to extreme violence. The film follows Karen and James, Karen lives alone caring for her brain damaged son Frank, she’s lonely and spends her days either on duty or watching “torture porn” style horror films. James lives with his conservaFve poliFcian mother and alcoholic father; he has a string of violent crimes in his youth which he’s managed to get away with. He joined the force to try and quell his violent desires, which he mainly tries to control through video games. The pair are partnered together and through circumstance are slowly revealed to both be turned on by the violence they witness on and off duty. This culminates is a messy relaFonship that spirals out of control and ends with a killing spree across the south coast of England. There’s plenty of twists in the film and central relaFonship, ultimately leading to afinale that will shock audiences making them quesFon everything they’ve been watching.

‘SPECIAL YELLOW BLOSSOM’
BY MATTEW SKOYLES
Jessica is living her best possible life. She has a perfect house, the perfect fiancé, and, as an artist, she has found immense financial success in her photorealistic paintings. It’s almost all too good to be true. But one day, all her work in her art studio is destroyed. Convinced that the vandal will return, Jessica and her fiancé Toby stakeout the place. Their night soon turns into a deep discussion about childhood, what they want from life, the world, and their fracturing relationship. As the night continues Jessica discovers her life is a lie, she is merely the fantasy of a young girl (Jess) who wishes she could be someone else. Someone, who is not destined to die young in a children’s hospice. Scared than ever, Jess sinks back into her fantasy when she learns she only has two months to live, and her fictional versions of herself take a hit, becoming weaker, her ‘reality’ crumbling around her. This introspective script dives deep into life, loss and the little control we can sometimes feel over the two.

Through the process I worked developed many varied concepts with my clients before honing in on the most optimised visual results. It was a complete joy to realsie these scripts into imagery.
